Father McSlutty, a diocesan priest, was no stranger to ManHunt.net, Gay.com, and other sites that facilitated romantic encounters of rather brief duration. McSlutty was one of the parish priests who preached the Catholic line equating homosexuality with adultery, fornication, and masturbation. After one such homily, two gay parish members confronted them. He explained that they had to be more subtle; a priest could not expect to wear a sign hat said gay-friendly, since that would suggest he endorsed the homosexual lifestyle of "acting out" (priestly euphemism for getting some action on the side) and all the rest. The gay men snubbed him henceforth, and Father McSlutty could not understand why. He did, however, extol the blessings of his own "acting out": he had become so comfortable with his own body that he could now pee in a crowded men's room without the least fright.
